Oregon takes pride in its craft beer scene like no other. Because of this, there are more beer fests showcasing local brews than you can count. It's not possible to go to all of them (believe us, we've tried!), so we've sorted through the best of the best to bring you this list. Grab your growler and head on out:
1. Central Oregon Beer Week's SMaSHfest - Bend, OR
Hosted at Bend's Old St. Francis School, the SMaSHfest celebrates single malt, single hop beers. What's unique about this event, is that beers served at this event were created specifically FOR the event, by world-class Oregon breweries like Deschutes, Ecliptic, Fort George and more! It has the feel of an exclusive industry-only event, where you can get a chance to mingle with brewers and other beer fans alike.
2. Organic Craft BrewFest - Portland, OR "The Organic Craft BrewFest promotes and celebrates the spirit of organic brewing and sustainable living. The festival will serve dozens of craft brewed beverages, including beer, cider, and mead. There will also be food carts, sustainability-oriented vendors and nonprofits, a soda garden for minors and designated drivers, games for adults, and a children’s area with face painting and activities – all taking place in a beautiful park setting." - We'll drink to that!
3. Oregon Garden Brewfest - Silverton, OR The Oregon Garden Brewfest takes place in an 80 acre botanical garden, and hosts over 60 breweries serving 120 beers, ciders and meads from throughout Oregon and across the country. We can't think of a more beautiful spot to enjoy a pint or five with friends and family!
4. The Little Woody Bend - Bend, OR The Little Woody Bend differs slightly from the other festivals because it also includes another favorite drink of ours... Whiskey! The Little Woody highlights some phenomenal barrel aged beers, whiskeys and ciders from across the Northwest, and is now celebrating its 8th year doing so! The festival feels like a well-kept local secret.
